With the peak summer heat behind us and that new term feeling in the air, September is the perfect month to change up your daily routine.

 Whether it’s to boost your productivity, help achieve your daily step count or just to make a change from being stuck behind the wheel, an active commute could be just the ticket! Walking, cycling or running to the bus stop or train station is one way to unlock a host of benefits that could change the way you feel this September.

 Why not try a simple switch one day a week? Here is all you need to do;

 1) Plan your route to work by bus or train, by using a journey planning tool such as google maps or the apps provided by your bus and train operators.

2) Grab a pair of comfy shoes or trainers and choose your active first or last mile mode. Walking, running and cycling all deliver benefits but you’ll need to find the right one for you. Don’t forget to check where you can park your bike securely before your public transport ride!

3) Enjoy the journey and watch your active minutes clock up!
